Best perfumes for autumn
By Monika Bogdanova — Guides editor, Verona Cosmetics
Autumn in Bulgaria brings cooler air and denser fabrics - and perfume rules flip versus summer. Citrus fades faster, while woods, spices, amber, and gourmand notes finally open without feeling heavy. Here is how to choose an autumn scent and which authentic bottles from our catalogue work best from September to November.

Step up the concentration
In autumn, EDP and Elixir beat a light EDT. Cooler air keeps molecules closer to skin, so a denser trail reads elegant, not loud. If you sprayed three times in summer, one or two often suffice now.
Lean into woods, spices, and gourmand
Cedar, vetiver, patchouli, cinnamon, cardamom, vanilla, tonka, amber, and cocoa - these notes warm autumn air. Oriental and woody families develop more slowly and last longer in the cool.
Keep lighter scents for warm days
Bulgarian autumn still has sunny afternoons above 20°C. Then a fresh EDT (like Sauvage or Lacoste Blanc) stays right. Rotate two bottles: denser for morning/evening, lighter for surprise heat.
Spray pulse points under clothes
Autumn jumpers and jackets hold scent close. Spray under the collar, on the chest, and inner elbow - the trail opens as you move without flooding a closed room.
Think gifts at the season’s start
September is back-to-rhythm season - work, school, first autumn plans. A denser authentic perfume is a safe gift; pair with our school-year guide if you need a quieter daytime scent.
